About the show
World famous discovers small town New Zealand, and helps make the towns and the people world famous . . . in a light-hearted kind of way.
The show is run by the town’s locals who tell us what the town is famous for and why it is such a special place to live. Enter stage left our resident stuntman Peter “Don’t try this at home” Bell, who is brought in by the town to devise an action sequence that will bring them world infamy, but not your every day been there, done that kind of fame, we’re talking world firsts and world headlines.
First up Pete needs to hold some auditions, to test the locals, to see if they have what it takes, from there, a select few will go through to the final stunt, where it will be their job to make their town, World Famous.
The townspeople know it will take more than a tough-as stunt, to become world famous, so the invitations were sent out for an A-list celebrity, an ambassador, a person with quick reflexes and more grunt than a ute to help them with their world fame challenge. Instead, they get the services of JASON GUNN.
Stunt day and the selected few and “Jace the ace”, do their darndest to make the town world famous, that is if they can finish the determined stunt. There’s blood, there’s tears and there plenty of laughter. Jason best sums the show in an episode from Dargaville …
