About the show

A show with attitude, The Sports Hour is a pacey mix of news & events, debate, sporting and quiz challenges, celebrity guests and a regular panel of Kiwi sporting heroes.   “Refereed” by radio sporting guru Andrew Saville, a regular panel including Simon Doull and Richard Turner plus celebrity guests will debate the top sporting headlines of the week … and they won’t be pulling their punches.    

The panel will also host a new national bloodsport – “Play, Bench, or Drop” – where the panel vociferously argue the merits (or otherwise) of three sporting names from the international news and decide if they would play them, bench them, or drop them altogether.  

And each week Martin Devlin’s legendary sporting knowledge will be put to the test as viewers get the chance to try and take his crown in a head-to-head quiz challenge. Each question the pretender can take off Martin will win them cash – and one lucky punter will walk away with a Sony 50” television.
