About the show
The Bounty Hunters takes the viewer on a modern-day detective adventure. Over 24 days, two teams of six travel 5,000 kilometres through the inhospitable Outback of Australia in search of a fugitive from the law. Their quarry – a bank robber with a rich bounty on his head. Twelve people start the manhunt – but only one will survive to claim the reward.
The contestants must find the “witnesses” to the fictitious crime – real Aussie characters who help them piece together what happened. Then they must gather the evidence to solve the case – before they are eliminated by their own team-mates.
They will be lied to and fooled by the robber and his accomplices, and even find they can’t trust their own team-mates. It is up to the team to decide who has to leave and how … by vote or by test? Relationships will fray … weak links will emerge … alliances will form.
Which of these 12 ordinary people will survive the harsh Australian Outback – and each other – to claim The Bounty Hunters reward?
