12 Kiwi celebrities trade in city life for the simple life as they compete to take home $25,000 for their favourite charity.  

Former All Black Zinzan Brooke heads one team, with Tawera Nikau, Noah Hickey, Julie White, Camillia Temple, and Amber Peebles.  

Competing against them, on league star Daryl Halligan’s team, are Alison Brooke, Suzanne Paul, John “Cocksy” Cocks, Erika Takacs, and Luke Whaanga.  

They swap the luxuries of modern life for subsistence on a turn-of-the-century farm with no electricity, no flush toilets, a pantry with only the barest essentials, and a farm full of animals they must look after.   And as if learning to milk cows and baking bread on a coal range wasn’t enough to cope with, host Matthew Ridge keeps them on their toes with a series of challenges and eliminations which lie between the celebrities and the stash of cash-for-charity that awaits.
